Paul Ortega Etcheverry

Director of ALAZTI Fundazioa

Paul Ortega Etcheverry is a Law graduate from the University of Deusto.

He is currently the director of ALAZTI Fundazioa, the purpose of which is to provide a systemic solution to the problem of access to housing for groups at risk of social exclusion.

He has been programme coordinator at Innobasque, director of eLankidetza (a Basque government body), internationalisation programme director at Innobasque, Bilbao City Program Coordinator for the American Marshall Memorial Fellowship of The German Marshall Fund of the United States, general secretary of Pax Romana – ICMICA/MIIC, director of UNESCO ETXEA and president of the World Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO (FMACU/WFUCA).

He was also a European Marshall Memorial Fellow in 1999 and secretary of the Basque coordinating body for non-governmental development organizations (NGDOs).
