Oriol Estela Barnet

General coordinator of the Barcelona metropolitan strategic plan

Economist and geographer. He has worked in local economic development since 1995, first as a consultant for public administrations and from 2005 onwards in Barcelona provincial authority, where he headed the technical office of economic development strategies (2012-2016). He is currently the general coordinator of the Barcelona metropolitan strategic plan. He is also a faculty member of CIDEU, the Ibero-American Centre for Strategic Urban Development, and of the steering group of the Metropolitan Social Forum.
