Leire has a degree in Psychology and specialist training in Education, with a 25-year career in social inclusion, community development and support, primarily in the areas of employment and housing.

Her experience ranges from direct intervention to management in different areas: the third sector and social economy, international bodies, and currently in the Basque public sector.

As director of social support at Alokabide, she leads key strategies linking the right to housing with social cohesion and support for people in vulnerable circumstances, in the conviction that housing is not just a roof, but the essential basis for any process of social inclusion.
