Katia Emerand

Assistant director general of regional strategy, planning and housing

Katia Emerand is a landscape architect who has spent 30 years working on regional planning policy. She started out freelance in the north of France, going on to join the Atlantique et Pyrénées town planning and management agency, where she helped to draw up urban strategies at all levels. Assistant Director General of the Basque Country Agglomeration Community (a grouping of all the local authorities in the northern Basque Country), in particular she is responsible for regional strategy, especially town planning, operational management and housing.
