Javier Álvarez Aras

Heads the business and employment department at Bilbao Ekintza

Holder of a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business and a master's degree in Information Security from the University of Deusto. He has wide experience in auditing, consulting, accounting and administrative management in the business world.

He started out in 1992 at Ernst & Young, a firm specialised in auditing and consulting, where he stayed until 2008, when he joined Lan Ekintza, and subsequently Bilbao Ekintza,

After a brief stay in the housing department of Bilbao city council, he now heads the business and employment department at Bilbao Ekintza, in charge of measures in the areas of employment and talent, enterprise, SMEs and commerce.
