Carlos García de Andoin Martín
Councillor responsible for employment and economic development and for culture, historical memory and participation
He currently holds the position of second deputy mayor at Sestao town council, where he is the councillor responsible for employment and economic development and for culture, historical memory and participation. He has a varied training, with a doctorate in Political Science and Administration, and bachelor's degrees in Theology and Psychology. Professionally, he has combined teaching and administration. He was director of the Diocesan Theology and Pastoral Institute in Bilbao from 2015 to 2023, taught Sociology of Education at the BAM teacher training college, associated with the University of Deusto, and Sociology of Religion at ISCREB in Barcelona. Also, in the public administration he has been assistant director of the office of the Spanish presidency minister, R. Jáuregui, and adviser to the Spanish first deputy prime minister, T. Fernández de la Vega. He has written several books and published numerous articles.
