Blanca Valdivia Gutiérrez

Col·lectiu Punt 6

Blanca holds a doctorate (2021) in Urban and Architectural Management and Assessment from ETSAB, the Barcelona School of Architecture, part of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Her thesis was entitled "Caring City: Quality of Urban Life from a Feminist Perspective." She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid.

She was among the founders of the Col·lectiu Punt 6 cooperative, a landmark organisation in the field of feminist town planning. both in Catalonia and internationally. Col·lectiu Punt 6 has published the essay "Feminist Town Planning: For a Radical Transformation of Living Spaces" and 7 guides to town planning and mobility with a gender perspective.

She combines her contribution to Col·lectiu Punt 6 with teaching and research work in the Sociology Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as part of the QUIT (Centre for Sociological Studies on Everyday Life and Work) group.
