Sara Buesa

Doctor of psychology from the University of Deusto (Bilbao). Currently Director of Inclusion for the Basque government

From 2021 to 2024 she was Director of Benefits and Inclusion at Lanbide, the Basque Employment Service. A career civil servant in Social Services at Vitoria-Gasteiz city council since 2008. Between 2015 and 2021, she was Director of Social Policy at Vitoria-Gasteiz city council. Her previous training and career focused on psychological support and assistance for people dealing with traumatic situations, especially women facing violence in their relations with their partner, combining intervention, research and teaching in this field. A psychologist at the Clara Campoamor association and at the Crime Victim Support Service in Álava between 2004 and 2008.
