Virginia Carcedo
Born in Vitoria, she is a graduate in Law from the University of Deusto, has an MBA from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a master's degree in Management of Non-Profit Organisations from the UNED.
She has also done the course in European Affairs and the European master's degree in Fundraising promoted by the Plataforma de ONG, and as a Third Sector Manager, as well as the PDG General Management Programme at IESE Business School through the University of Navarra
She is currently General Secretary and Director of Change, Excellence and Equality at the ONCE foundation, as well as Executive Vice-President of the Inserta associations, experts in employment and training for people with disabilities at the ONCE foundation.
She is a Patron of the ONCE guide dog foundation, sits on the boards of directors of the ILUNION group and the Servimedia news agency, as well as on the management committee of REDI and ICONG. She won the “Women in Retail for Inclusion” prize in 2023 and the Dux Diversity award in 2025. She is also a member of the monitoring committee of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the ONCE foundation and the World Bank (2015-2018), to advance economic and social development for people with disabilities through education, employment, skills development, training, and universal design and accessibility for all, and is behind ground-breaking projects focused on artificial intelligence and Portalento Lattam, a project co-funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
She is currently leading the development and implementation of strategies for change with a high social impact in organisations, through highly disruptive technologies, with artificial intelligence standing out as a transversal technology.
