Lidia Farré

She holds a doctorate in Economics from the European University Institute (Florence, 2006), and her research focuses on employment economics and public economics, paying special attention to gender economics.

She has published in the principal international journals in her field, including the Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Public Economics and Journal of Development Economics. She is associate editor of the journal SERIEs, and leads different projects into gender and the labour market.

Her research work has also won various accolades, among them the Best Paper Award by the journal Labor Economics. She is currently a member of the economic affairs advisory council of the Ministry of Economics, and of the board of management of the Spanish Economics Association. She is also a regular contributor to the media to explain her research.
