Murgia (Zuia)

Sanctuary of Ntra. Señora de Oro

In Murgia the gothic Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Oro, dating from the 16th century, dominates the entire valley.

The church has two well differentiated parts: the two head sections make up the first and the two rear sections make up the second. The presbytery is covered with a rib vault with sharply pointed lancet arches. The lower choir and the steeple belong to the oldest part, dating back to the early 16th century. The vestry adjoins the church apse, behind the main altarpiece, which is baroque and presided by the carving of the Virgen de Oro.
