The Basque Observatory of Culture was formally established in 2006, stemming from the Basque Culture Plan approved by the Basque Council of Culture and the Basque Government. It began its journey as a foundational body, fueling the entire Basque cultural system through information and knowledge.
Over the past two decades, the Observatory has established itself as the primary provider of analytical and foresight tools regarding the Basque cultural sector.
To mark this twentieth anniversary, the Basque Observatory of Culture will host a special event in Bilbao on November 5 and 6: the International Forum of Cultural Observatories.
Over two days of international reflection and dialogue, and under the theme "Observe, Understand, Project," the forum will bring together experts, institutions, and cultural sector stakeholders to analyze the strategic role of cultural observatories in the contemporary context.
Details regarding the agenda and registration will be announced soon.
