Xabier Madariaga

Xabier Madariaga has spent over 20 years working for EITB’s radio and television channels. He began his career in Jerusalem, reporting first-hand on human rights violations across the Middle East.

His career as a journalist took him to Madrid and then Paris. After seven years as a correspondent in France, he returned to Bilbao and has been presenting the programme Ur Handitan since 2017.

Over ten seasons he has hosted this weekly interview programme exploring social issues.
