Guillermo Escobar Roca

Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Alcalá. Director of the Department of Legal Sciences at the University of Alcalá (2013-2019). Reserve Judge at the National High Court (2004-2009). Since 2007, director of the Regional Support Programme for Ombudsmen's Offices in Latin America and of the Master's Degree in Human Rights, Rule of Law and Democracy in Latin America. His research has focused on human and fundamental rights, environmental law, communication law and the figure of the Ombudsman. He has published more than 150 articles on these subjects, authored 10 books and coordinated or edited another 37. Mr Escobar Roca has delivered more than 200 lectures at international conferences, seminars and courses outside his university.
