leku asko egoera aztertzen ari dira, lurra berotzeak eskaeran eta industria turistikoan zer nolako
eragina izan dezakeen aurreikusteko, eta egoera horri nola aurre egin jakiteko. Lan honetan, klimaren
aldaketa eta turismoa ekonomiaren ikuspegitik lotzen saiatu diren lehen azterlan aipagarrienak
aztertu dira. Hori horrela izanik, berotze globalak turismoan zer nolako eragina izan dezakeen aztertzen
saiatu diren lanak berrikusi dira, eta horrekin batera, sektore horrek negutegi efektua eragiten
duten gasak zenbateraino isurtzen dituen eta isurketa horiek murrizteak turismoaren industrian zer
nolako eragina izan dezaketen ere aztertzen da. Azterlanaren ondorioek erakusten dutenez, turismoaren
eta klimaren aldaketaren artean dauden loturak aztertzeko erabiltzen diren teknika ekonomikoak
hedatu beharra dago.
Resumen
El rápido y continuado crecimiento de la industria turística a lo largo de los últimos años es uno de
los fenómenos económicos más destacables de nuestro tiempo. En un contexto de calentamiento
global, muchos agentes involucrados se están planteando qué efectos sobre la demanda y la industria
turística pueden preverse y de qué manera deberán afrontarse. En este trabajo se analizan
los trabajos más relevantes que han tratado de estudiar la relación entre el cambio climático y el
turismo desde el punto del vista económico y de evaluar los posibles efectos del calentamiento
global sobre el turismo, la contribución del sector a la emisión de gases de efecto invernadero, así
como la repercusión de las diferentes medidas mitigadoras de dichas emisiones en la industria turística.
Los resultados del estudio sugieren la necesidad de ampliar las técnicas de análisis económico,
las variables consideradas y la regionalización del ámbito de estudio para poder profundizar
el análisis de las interacciones entre turismo y cambio climático.
Abstract
The fast and continuous growth of the tourism industry over the past few years is one of the most
remarkable economic phenomena of our time. In a context of global warming, many of the
destinations are considering which effects on the demand and the tourism industry can be foreseen
and how they should be tackled. In this paper the most relevant works that have tried to link climate
change and tourism from the economic point of view are analyzed. Then, the possible impacts of
global warming on the tourism and their contribution to greenhouse gases emission are reviewed as
well as the effects that different mitigation measures could have on the tourist industry. The results of
this study suggest the need to expand economic techniques, the variables included and the
regionalize in order to go in deep in the analysis of the interactions between climate change and
tourism, but also the necessity to know the consequences of global warming on environment in the
sense that it is the most important attraction for the main tourist destinations.
