Basque cuisine, one of the protagonists at the Berlinale
The wines of the Rioja Alavesa, the Getariako Txakolina Designation of Origin, fish preserves and Idiazabal Cheese will be present at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Basque cuisine will arrive in the German capital in February. The Basque government, in collaboration with the Basque Culinary Centre, has organised a Euskadi Day as part of the "Kulinarisches Kino" (in English: Culinary Cinema) at the Berlinale. The Basque products which are to be represented are the Rioja Alavesa¿s wines (Export Consortium "Araex Export Group" and the Heredad de Ugarte winery), txakoli with Getariako Txakolina Designation of Origin, fish preserves (two companies¿ products: CORPA and Hijos de José Serrats ) and Idiazabal cheese. In addition, the Mugaritz B.S.O. film will be shown. This film is an innovative project which fuses cuisine with music. It is the creation of chef Andoni Luis Aduriz and musician Felipe Ugarte. As well as Aduriz, other renowned Basque chefs, namely Eneko Atxa and Elena Arzak, Jose Mari Aizega -head of the Basque Culinary Center-, José Luis Rebordinos -head of the San Sebastian International Film Festival- and Thomas Struck -director of the culinary cinema programme- will participate at the round table.
