Start: Campuzano Square Arrival: Old Town (Casco Viejo)

This route will take us through the different poteo zones of Bilbao, an active, plural and friendly city, in which visitors will feel at home. Let's start in the town centre. Our first essential destinations are García Rivero Street and, closed to it, Campuzano Square and Estraunza zone. Not very far from here, we get Licenciado Poza Street, whose crossroads with Doctor Areilza Street is a seething mass of young people.

Then we find Gran Via and the new shopping district of El Ensanche. At the Diputación Street, a pedestrian street, we will taste the best creative pintxos . In fact, poteo and pintxos have always had a tight connection. In many bars they exhibit their own creations, making almost impossible not to fall into temptation and taste one of this delicious tapas. Ledesma Street and the nearby pedestrian Arbieto Street, next to Albia Gardens, are full of people in the evening. On the other hand, thanks to the "Guggenheim Effect" and the quality of its bars, the zone extending over Iparraguirre and Ajuriaguerra Streets, near Heros Street, has become an important area for poteo.

Finally we must mention the "txikiteo" zone par excellence: the Casco Viejo (Old Town). There we find a whole world to discover: the Plaza Nueva, with its terraces and relaxing atmosphere or the crossroads of Perro and Santa Maria Streets, where we will find a lots of bars to taste fantastic pintxos, many of them included in the Michelin guide.
