Txakoli wineries in the Basque Country
Zabala Txakolina
A family winery located in the parish of Bakio, in the former BASIGO neighbourhood, now known as Elexalde. Bakio is a traditional txakoli-making area, and ancient vineyards surround the town and our winery, a business which is part of the history of Bakio but today has adapted to keep up with the times in which we live. The winery makes 4 txakolis using only grapes from Bakio, keeping up the tradition of the three txakolis (white, red and ojo gallo) but at the same time innovating. One of the new creations by this winery is its new txakoli aged for 6 months, which we have christened Gaztelugatxe.
