Gorbeia

This is a privileged spot of almost 500 square kilometres to enjoy nature, full of oak and beech forests and meadows. Over half of the Gorbeia Natural Park belongs to the region. Due to its strategic location and spectacular views it has become a benchmark for Basque mountaineering and is a meeting point for hikers, cyclists and horse riders. Moreover, the cross that crowns the peak is the indisputable symbol of the Park. Note that the "Gorbeia Central Park" initiative offers you the chance to discover all the magic of this area through unusual activities. Part of the Urkiola Natural Park is also found in this area, more specifically, in Aramaio and its most famous peak is Anboto (1,300 m), frequently visited by Basque mountaineers. The Ullibarri-Gamboa marsh is one of the spots most frequently visited by the people of Alava during the summer, and the Urrunaga marsh is habitat to many birds and marine species.
