Cultural Heritage

The Mantible Bridge is a magnificent public work from the medieval period (10th-11th centuries).

This colossal bridge linked both banks of the River Ebro. One can get an idea of the magnitude of the original bridge by looking at the river's width at this point. The semicircular seven-arched bridge spanned 164 metres over the River Ebro and was 30 metres high.

This monumental work was partly destroyed in the Middle Ages, around the 14th century. However, two arches and the pillars of the other five are still standing today.
