Cultural Heritage
Doña Otxanda Tower is a nice crenelated building and one of the different defensive constructions of the walled part of Vitoria.
Built where a previous tower stood, the marriage formed by Andrés Martínez de Iruña and Catalina de Alava erected the present tower in the 16th century and named it after their daughter Otxanda. The building was rebuilt in 1970.
Nowadays the tower hosts one of the various museums of the capital: the Natural Science Museum.
