Kursaal Convention Centre and Auditorium is a spectacular architectonic design by Rafael Moneo, formed by two gigantic glass cubes. The Kursaal is located beside the Zurriola beach and is the epicentre of cultural activities and conferences in the city. Each year it stages more than 300 events and welcomes more than 600,000 visitors. It boasts multiple areas where events of all types can be held. In total, it has 2 auditoriums with a capacity to hold 624 and 1,806 people respectively, 20 meeting rooms with capacities ranging from 10 to 575 people, offices and VIP rooms, more than 5,000 square metres for exhibitions, spacious outside terraces and a banquet hall for 1,000 guests. All of the facilities are equipped with the latest technology: simultaneous translation cabins, video-projectors, closed-circuit TV, hiring of materials, technical staff, infrared, fibre optics, videoconferencing, etc.
